Hey everyone
So the other day I was asked by a friend if I knew of any kind of hair products that can give her hair lift. She has short straight hair with no volume at all. I have long curly/wavy hair that has so much body that I didn't really know to much about it but I did go out and have a look for her. I went to a few different stores such as; Price line, Price Attack, Coles and Just Cuts.
All of these places had so many different kinds of volumizing products that I just was not sure so I just wrote them down for her and the price so maybe she could have a try of them.
The products that I found were:
(note: All of these except for Bodify are shampoo and conditioner)
David Babaii- Amplifying {RRP: $22.99} (cruelty free)
Yes to Tomato's- Volumizing { RRP: $12.99}
Pantene Clinicare- Fullness-charge revitalising {RRP: $29.99}
John Frieda- Volumizing {RRP:$10.99}
- Full repair {RRP: $10.99}
Edgy- Bodify cream {RRP: $17.00}
She was also asking about repairing and split ends and something that was coconut scented
So I suggested
Macadamia oil {RRP: $19.95}
Marrakesh oil {RRP: $38.95}
Body shop coconut shine {RRP: $13.00}
I hope this is helpful on finding some new products please leave a comment if you have tried these products before.

Country Fresh
This doesn't really have anything to do with beauty but at the same time it has everything to do with it. I've gone to stay on my Aunt's farm for the next few days. This is the first morning. And just one night in this house with one TV, lots of watermelon and rock melon and no Internet (I brought my own >.<), my brain has slowed down to a steady pace.
Sometimes we find that in the hustle and bustle of going to school, work or uni every single day we don't have time to slow down. We finish our day out and we come home to a busy home preparing dinner, watching YouTube and movies and TV and our day never really just stops or slows down until that moment we go to bed.
This morning I got out of bed and walked outside to talk to the cow. That cow doesn't like me. But I stood there on my side of the fence chatting away with it.
Have you guys ever just sat there and talked to an animal? Or taken the time to clime up into a tree to look at the park next door? Or watched the clouds or stars?
Inner beauty is so important. Why have a beautiful body if your personality needs some improvement? Even if you already have a great personality, if someone is stressed all the time they aren't great to hang out with.
Spending my first night on this farm has made me think...
Girls, next time you feel stressed, or tired, or worn out and needing time away from people. I encourage you to go for a walk or clime a tree or watch the clouds or even the stars. Just give yourself half an hour to slow down and take you time to sit and enjoy. It really helps me to clear my thoughts and I hope it helps you too.

Makeup sites
Hey girls so lately I have been watching way to much YouTube but I have been watching some of the Australians for a change and they have been talking about these sites where you can find and purchase makeup that is hard to find in Australia so if you are Australian and are looking for cosmetics like NYX, L.A girl, OPI, China glaze etc check these out
The first one is Tanty cosmetics They have a variety of make up and there is free shipping Australia wide.
Second one is Pork Daisy unfortunately this is free shipping to USA but there are some great cosmetics for a great price. Pork Daisy also sell jewellery.

Tip of the Day: Blushing
Hey Guys,
You know those really awkward moments you have when you blush and just can't stop? Yeah, I get them too. Sometimes I'm not sure which is redder, my hair or my face...
Well this is something I read about last year that really worked! I can't for the life of me remember where I read it... But...
LET YOURSELF BLUSH!!!
It's weird hey? But that's the problem I used to face. I'd get embarrassed and I'd go bright red and I knew I was red and try to stop it which would make it worse.
Let yourself blush.
After about a year of working at this I have found that the quicker you get over the fact that you are blushing and it isn't that weird... the quicker your normal colouring will return.
I really encourage you to try this. It really does work. You'll feel less awkward in embarassing situations

Make up removal wipes
Make up removal wipes
It's not very good to wear makeup when you go to sleep because it can clog up your pores. If your like me and you put your makeup on in the morning and dont take it off before you go to bed here is an easy way to take it off without a cleanser.
I have used a few different ones and they all do the same things some just better than others.
St Ives Cleaning Clothes Blemish Fighting
I have only used these a couple of times but they seem to be really good. The good thing is that they come in a 32 pack rather than 10 and the are made for blemishes so that is what caught my eye.
I have used a few cheap ones from coles for only $1 or $2. They were ok they took the makeup off as needed but didnt seem to help fight blemishes. They seem to dry out your face after you use them.
Swisspers is also a really good brand that fights against blemishes and leaves our face feeling fresh.
the towellete is has alot more moisture content as opposed to the other two brands, but are very similar to St Ives.

Bumper Lip Balm Edition!
Lip balm is an essential part of every girl’s day. Whether
you’re out riding horses, working in an office, at school, or exercising, it’s
something that keeps your lips feeling fresh and ready for anything that comes
at them. I’ve tried probably well into
the 50’s of different types of lips balms. That’s why this is a bumper blog, because it’s going to be huge.
Firstly, the one I’m using at the moment: Yes to carrots in
‘Melon’. I’ve only had it for a little bit, but it’s fantastic! It smells
great, and it’s comfortable to use. It’s not a ‘hard’ gloss as such, that
chunks up on your lips, but it comes out soft and glides smoothly. It lasts a
long time because there’s more of it, giving you better value for money. I’m
really happy with how this one is going, and will most likely buy it again!
![]() |
| Picture from www.shopping.com |
I have used Maybelline ‘baby lips’ in all 4 of their
flavours, numerous times over. It’s fantastic! It smells great, and is very
similar to the Yes to carrots one, but it does run out very fast. When you get
to the bottom of the ‘tube’ as such, the windy part gets loose and the balm
starts to wind itself up in your pocket, leaving a big mess in the top of the
cap. That’s the only negative comment I have about it though!
![]() |
| Picture from www.maybelline.com.au |
I have tried Chap Stick, in 3 different ‘flavours’ – but I
don’t really like them. Although they’re mostly SPF 30+ and great sounding,
I’ve found that they seem to make me lick my lips and feel thirsty and have a
dry mouth all the time. They are great if you are planning on going swimming
though, as they seem to have a good use time and stay on for hours.
| Picture from www.chapstick.com |
I used to use The Body Shop’s ‘Hemp’ balm for a long time,
but only recently stopped using it because of the cost. It smells different to
usual balms, but I still like it. It goes on well but it also seems to come out
in chunks eventually, and melts after exposure to the smallest amount of heat.
![]() |
| Picture from www.thebodyshop.com.au |
I’ve also used The Body Shop’s lip butters and ‘born lippy’
which I loved both of them! The lip butter was great, but because it was white,
it left a white residue on the sides of my lips that I didn’t like. The ‘born
lippy’ is amazing, and I love it to death. They all smell great, but I don’t
use it anymore because the pot is too big to lug around, especially in small
pockets. It also melts up the sides and leaves it messy on hot summer’s days!
![]() |
| Picture from www.thebodyshop.com.au |
I’ve used the whole “Palmers” squidgy gel type ones. I don’t
particularly like gel, so I stopped using these. The top of the tube was
breaking consistently too and leaking gel everywhere! It also sticks to
everything and leaves mess. They do smell good though!
![]() |
| Picture from www.drugstore.com |
Finally, (I will stop now – although there’s heaps more!) I
have used Soft Lips. Pretty much the whole range! I love the smell of them, and
I love how they’re small to carry around. They glide on smoothly and make your lips
tingle! The only problem I had with them was winding up in my pockets, and
messing the cap over (although not regularly) and running out too quickly! They
only lasted me about a week and a half. (I use lots!)

Thanks for reading. I hope you’ve settles some much thought
over lip balm problems. I’ve also used Carmex, Blistex, Lip Smackers, MOR,
Rituelle and MANY other brands, but unfortunately didn’t have enough room. You
can email me at x.eyeofthebeholder.x@gmail.com
if you want a personal opinion on them though.
Stay Beautiful,
Kitty.

Body Shop
Hey girls
Lately I have been going down to the body shop just having a look around and it was just before Christmas when I found the sent cranberry joy and oh my goodness it was the best smelling thing you have ever smelt from there. They had a variety of different products in this scent such as lip balm, shimmer cream, body butter, soaps and oils. Little did I know then that they sell out like a flash. I did manage to find the lip balm and oil that I purchased. I went looking for the shimmer cream but there was none left.
The lip gloss is amazing to use it has a great smell and a lovely red/pink glittery finish to it.
The oil is technically meant for your home to make it smell yummy but i use it as a perfume (shhhh don't tell anyone) We asked if it could be used as this and the lady told us that everyone in the shop that works there does it. I cant stress how amazing this scent is.
There is also the hemp products that I would like to tell you about. They are so moisturising and wonderful to use. The smell is not amazing but if you need the moister it is.
I had a split lip not to long ago and I used it and in like two days it was clearing up. Also my nan works in water alot so I brought her the hand cream and she loves it because it moisturises them so well and prevents them cracking.

EVOHE - My Favourite Mask
So if you're like me, some days your skin just doesn't want to look nice. Whether you have a face full of pimples or a perfect complexion, there will be days where you look dull or mega oily or just not quite right. I found I was getting a lot of these days about a year or two ago. I have managed to get on top of it now, no more bright red, painful lumps on my cheeks from pimples that aren't even there. No more oily t-zone and dry cheeks. I have experimented with a lot of products to get past this. Proactiv helped jump start me on my way to clear skin, it helped clear up and even out my skin by formal! BUT the one thing that has stayed consistent is my love for the Evohe Silica Mask.
I have gotten bored or annoyed with most products after using my first bottle (if that). Proactiv annoyed me because the stuff dried my skin after a while and i used three containers of moisturiser for one lot of cleanser, which I still have half full. The masks I've used are awesome but there's only been one I'd buy again.
I've used Yes to Tomato:
It turned my face bright red when I first used it, but I found I'd used it too thickly and later used a VERY thin coat which worked well.
I've used Freeman's Cucumber Peel-Off Mask:
It is pretty good. A lot of fun to peel off and it gives your face a soft clear feel when you are done. AND it can be manipulated to look like peeling flesh! So stay posted and I'll show you how to do this for yourself.
I've used a Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask:
It smells so yummy and you come away with a nice feel to your skin.
I've used the Proactiv Mask:
I use it when I run out of my others. It's OK for a spot treatment but it's annoying to get off, the stuff goes everywhere and I guess if it was absolutely amazing it would be worth it... but I've used better.
AND I have used a lot of sample packets; none of which stood out to me enough to even know what they were called... I remember one was black :)
The only mask I have ever considered re-buying was my trusty Evohe Silica Mask. I have just cut its container open to get the last scraps out. I have owned the stuff for probably three years now; so it goes a long way. I bought the mask at some all natural cosmetics and stuff shop outside of Woolworth's one day. It cost me (thanks to me never taking the price off!) $39.50. or $44.90 on this website:http://www.evohe.com.au/products_listing.ews?products.ewdCategory=4
Yes I know it's a lot, but it has been worth it.
There is two ways of using it.
And I guess I need to say "please test this product before using it"
1. Firstly apply a thin layer all over your face and allow to dry. This should take roughly 10mins.
2. Once it is dry, rub it into your face with dry hands.
3. Then you have two options
a) wash it off - I tend to wet my hands and continue rubbing it off that way if I have time
b) leave it - sleep with your face still at step 2 and wash it off in the morning (my preferred way)
4. Moisturise!
This mask can dry your skin if you leave it on overnight so I suggest always moisturise with your favourite moisturiser. I like Sukin Facial Moisturiser, which I got from the same shop as Evohe.
This Evohe mask, I find is gentle on the skin. It will get rid of that annoying excess oil you just can't get rid off sometimes. And it is fun to use, but at the same time, nice and easy for lazy people like myself.
I have found, that unlike the coloured and thick masks that you can't rub in before washing off; this one won't leave a mess on whatever you wash it off with. My washers often come away caked in product that no matter how hard I try won't come off OR like my Proactiv products (not sure if was the mask or cleanser) which bleach the washers.
If you are looking for a mask and are willing to give a little bit extra I seriously recommend this product, I love it to pieces and am sad to see the last of the bottle (I don't actually know where my bottle is at the moment :( I've temporarily lost it).
I plan on trying more products from the Evohe collection so stay posted!
I hope you enjoyed the read and the pictures and my huge spiel about how I can't stick to any one product - YOU SHOULD SEE THE COLLECTION.
Until next time

PRODUCT REVIEW: Freeman Beauty Clay Mask
Firstly, Happy New Year! Hope if any onf you do make resolutions, that you actually stick to them!
You can check out my resolutions at: yourkatisonfire.tumblr.com
It is great for the whole face, but I specifically use it in my nose. It's awesome because it dries out the greasy spots on your face like acne, blackheads and just greasy pores, leaving your skin soft, and noticeably clearer. I love it! After having used it for about 2 weeks now, the blackheads on my nose have cleared up immensely, and although they're still there, there's a noticeable difference in their size and density.
You can check out my resolutions at: yourkatisonfire.tumblr.com
Today I'd like to share the good news of Freeman's 'Feeling Beautiful' range, in particular the Avocado and Oatmeal Clay mask. I went to originally pick up a Cucumber peeling mask from Coles, but there were none there, so I ended up getting the clay mask. And can I say, It's AMAZING!
It is great for the whole face, but I specifically use it in my nose. After having used it for about 2 weeks now, the blackheads on my nose have cleared up immensely, and although they're still there, there's a noticeable difference in their size and density.
You'll notice when you have it over a particularly greasy area, the greasy part goes a darker green, and you can tell that that's where the oil is being sucked out of your pores, and you're on your way to healthier skin :) The mask can be found at Coles for $10 and http://www.freemanbeauty.com/product/avocado-oatmeal-facial-clay-mask for $3.99USD. These are the only 2 places as far as I know, but there may be more!
Lauren has the peeling face mask and I'm sure one day she'll post a review on that too, if I don't beat her...
Hope you all had a great NYE, and have a great 2012 to come!
Stay beautiful (:
